Since 2009, the band PoPieronie has consistently consisted of four talented and experienced musicians, brought together by shared roots and artistic journeys. Their bond has laid a strong foundation, giving rise to a lasting friendship and a fruitful musical collaboration.

In 2023, the lineup of PoPieronie was expanded for the purposes of the “Żywioły” (“Elements”) project, adding a percussion section, a pianist, an additional violinist, and backing vocals. As part of this endeavor, an album of the same name was also created. With this new lineup and the repertoire from the album, the band reached the semifinals of the TV show Must Be the Music.
PoPieronie’s music is not limited to traditional highlander tunes and folk arrangements — it primarily features original compositions that clearly reflect the musical influences of the borderland cultures of Poland, Slovakia, and Hungary. The band’s high level of musicianship resonates with classical music lovers as well as fans of jazz and improvised music.
